Introduction to SSO Integration with Okta and Azure

Single Sign-On (SSO) is a secure authentication method that enables users to access multiple applications using a single set of login credentials. Instead of managing separate logins for each application, users authenticate once through a centralized identity provider (IdP), streamlining access, improving user experience, and strengthening security through centralized control.

Why Use SSO?​

  • Users authenticate once and gain access to all authorized applications without repeated logins.
  • Administrators can manage access policies, user provisioning, and de-provisioning from a single platform.
  • Centralized authentication enables stronger enforcement of security policies like MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication), conditional access, and user activity monitoring.
