User Consent
User consent is now acquired for all users to ensure compliance with biometric data protection laws. Depending on legal requirements, consent can be obtained in one of two ways: Active or Passive.
- Active Consent: The user must explicitly accept the consent items, for example, by enabling a UI switch or checking a checkbox for each consent item.
- Passive Consent: The consent text and URL are presented to the user. By continuing with the journey, the user implicitly accepts the passive consent items.
Autocapture
The new Autocapture experience enables users to capture multiple images within a single camera session. For example, users can be guided to capture the front of a document first, then flip it and capture the back within the same session. Here is the Embedded Video Guide watch the video.
Improve User Experience and Reduce Drop-off Rate
When evaluating user flows, one of the key metrics is the drop-off rate. At Jumio, we observe considerable variation in drop-off rates across industries and customer implementations. For some implementations, drop-offs tend to be higher on the first screens compared to the average. Scanning an ID containing sensitive personal data creates a high barrier for participation, making user trust crucial for better conversion rates.
Factors Affecting Drop-off Rates
A recognizable pattern among all SDK implementations is that a more seamless integration and clear user expectations before entering the SDK journey lead to lower drop-off rates.
SDK Customization Options
Our SDK provides various customization options to help customers achieve a smooth integration:
- Standard SDK Workflow: Our surface tool offers a WYSIWYG interface that allows users to implement simple customization options with minimal effort and automatically generates the necessary code.
- Advanced Customization: Customers seeking granular control over the user interface can fully customize the SDK UI according to their requirements.
By leveraging these features, businesses can optimize user experience and reduce drop-off rates, leading to improved conversion and user satisfaction.
